14 октября 2014 года Gartner опубликовал свой отчет " Market Guide for Security Threat Intelligence Services ".
Gartner рассматривает 4 рыночных сегмента, в котором действуют компании, оказывающие услуги по расследованию инцидентов:
- Group 1: Acquisition and Analysis
- Group 2: Incident Recovery Support
- Group 3: Real-Time Monitoring and Notification
- Group 4: Incident Diagnostics
В рамках документа Gartner представил поставщиков из Group 1 и Group 3. В этот перечень вошли BrandProtect, Check Point Software Technologies, Codenomicon, CrowdStrike, CSIS Security Group, Cyveillance, Dell SecureWorks, Digital Shadows, FireEye ( Mandiant ), Fox-IT, Group-IB, IBM ( Internet Security Systems), IID, iSIGHT Partners, Lookingglass, Malcovery, Norse, One World Labs, RSA, The Security Division of EMC, SenseCy, Symantec, Team Cymru, ThreatStream, Verisign, Webroot.
В отчете не приводится детальное сравнение поставщиков услуг. Про Group-IB написано, что они работают в обоих рыночных сегментах (Group 1 и Group 3), и дается краткая характеристика:
"Eastern Europe is generally recognized as a key point of origin of threat and fraud activities. As a Moscow-headquartered company, Group-IB arguably has a market advantage with regard to developing insight into these communities. It focuses mostly, albeit not solely, on electronic fraud and brand issues. It has established a solid base of clients, mostly in Europe, with a focus on financial services.
