Almost two years I’ve been focused on cyber security of Smart Medicine. The result was collected in the 3 reports:
- “Mistakes of smart medicine” – introduction in the topic with detailed description of common problems for healthcare.
- “Connected medicine and its diagnosis” – security analysis of real medical network with detailed description of existing vulnerabilities and recommendations, how to mitigate it.
- “A therapeutic Postmortem of Connected Medicine” – the report, which examines existing entry points to sensitive data and malware that is active in medical networks.
On December 28 HHS published the document that describes, how to develop and implement threat mitigation strategy for healthcare: Health Industry Cybersecurity Practices: Managing Threats and Protecting Patients.
It means, multiple research and efforts to attract attention are not in vain. Who knows, how many lives the initiative will save in the future. The initiative that is taken by security researchers.
